Getting Started on Creating Your Healthy Legacy

How do you get started on Creating Your Healthy Legacy?  You must set the tone by creating an inspirational space.  This is achieved by purchasing a journal and writing implement to use in recording the various required exercises.

The journal should be a style, design, color and format that you feel that reflects who you are and is also inspirational and uplifting for you.  The writing implement should also be expressive of some aspect of you and still be inspirational and fun as this is an exciting journey that you are about to begin.

Some examples would be a journal that has a soothing nature scene on it, nostalgic items, different textures, stickers, feathers and etc.  The paper could be purple, white or fuscia pink, lined or unlined.  Whatever is best that suits you.  The same applies for your writing implement be it a pen, pencil or whatever you are most comfortable writing with.

For example, one of my earliest experiences with using a journal was finding one that had a cover with this beautiful sunset on a beach scene.  The pages were this lavender that was lined in dark purple and the upper right corner of each page had an imprint of this beach sunset scene.  I found a pen that had this gold glittery outside and a furry feathery top. It wrote in a regal dark purple ink.  I found between the purple color and the sunset picture it transformed writing from an anxiety experience for me to a very calming and grounding experience.  To add to this scenario I would some times light some incense.  One of my favorites was frankincense and myrrh.  For me, I reflect best first thing in the morning when my thoughts are clear.  The picture of the sunset and the scent of the incense helped me regain a sense of peace whenever what I was writing brought up a lot of challenges for me.
