I think we can all relate to the story of the grandmother and her granddaughter. I can remember when my own parents died, each from cancer, and my brother said, "Now I know what disease will cause my death". I choose not to buy into that and to change my nutritional habits. As you began your blog, you talked about sugar. Sugar feeds cancer cells. One way I decided not to "inherit the bad genes" is to cut out sugar from my diet. Here's to a healthy legacy!

I look forward to reading your book Creating Your Healthy Legacy. Just from our short talk you made me realize that just as receipts are passed from generations to generation so are bad attitudes, ways of thinking, even fear. A friend of mines mother lived in the south and had the KKK knock on her door looking for someone they were hiding, she feared for her life. My friend's mother was a child when this happen and as adult she passed on from the fear of that day. The fear of doing something and loosing your life. So, what she told her children was that it is better to sit and say nothing because in the long run your life will not be effected and best of all you will have your life. Imagine if Dr. King had taken his hate of south to heart, he would of passed on his fear to a race of people and what shape would we be in today.

Creating Your Healthy Legacy is a book we all should read, especially people who are raising children.
